Description:

A large species of frog with robust body, long muscular hind legs with extensively webbed hind feet. Skin on back relatively smooth in large adults but warty in juveniles. It is usually brown or grey with or without a yellowish mid-dorsal stripe.

Habitat:

Nocturnal, semi-aquatic, occurs along streams in forest and scrubland. Found in Central Nature Reserves, Western Catchment Area, Singapore Botanic Gardens and Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.

Size:

26 cm SV.

Status:

Widespread and common.

Distribution

Thailand, Malay Peninsula and Sumatra.
