Description:

One of the smallest narrow-mouthed frog found in Singapore. Its back is dark-brown, get paler towards the sides. It is yellowish brown between its eyes and the snout. An oblique yellowish streak behind the eyes. Vent opening in the centre of a large black spot.

Habitat:

Nocturnal, inhabits forest floor. In Singapore, it seems to be confined to the Central Nature Reserves where it was first reported in 1997 as M. borneensis.

Size:

2 cm SV.

Status:

Rare and restricted to certain areas.

Distribution

Malay Peninsula.
