Description:

Malesian Frog has a robust body, long muscular hind legs with extensively webbed hind feet. Its head is large and broad. Resembles the Malayan Giant Frog. Malesian Frog has a very thin white stripe on its smooth back. Half of its ear drum is blackish. Males grown larger than females.

Habitat:

Nocturnal, semi-aquatic carnivore that occurs in mature swampy forest. In Singapore, found in Central Nature Reserves and also in Western Catchment Area.

Size:

15 cm SV.

Status:

Restricted to a few areas but common.

Distribution

Malay Peninsula, Borneo, Sumatra and Java.
