Description:

A stocky frog that inhabits forest streams and puddles. It is often seen immersed in shallow water except for the top of the head nad eyes which protrude above the surface.

Habitat:

Nocturnal, largely aquatic. In Singapore, it occurs in swampy areas of the Central Nature Reserves, the Western Catchment Area and Pulau Tekong

Size:

4 cm SV.

Status:

Widespread and common.

Distribution

Malay Peninsula, Borneo, Sumatra and Java.
